Fil-Am

Today was the Fil-Am(Filipino-American) Friendship Day Festival at Red Wing Park. We took part in the parade at the beginning of the event, holding huge flags representing the 50 states. We were the very first group in the parade, haha. All in all, there were yummy food, good entertainment, fun games, neat prizes, cool celebrities, and we get to be on TV! We’ll be on one of our local news stations, along with the popular Philippine TV stations, TFC and GMA.

How do you get seedless watermelons and grapes? We were eating a seedless watermelon today and I’ve always wondered how they end up seedless. I know someone told me about these seedless fruits a long time ago, but you know me…I’m forgetful and too lazy to Google it.

What a deal!

We bought a top quality 19 inch LCD screen from Best Buy earlier this month. My mom was reading the store ads in this past Sunday’s paper and noticed the same screen on sale for $60 less, along with a 22 inch for the same price we originally bought the 19 inch one for. It hasn’t been 30 days yet, so we exchanged the 19 inch for the 22 inch and all for the same price. What a deal!

We got back from Jersey/New York about 3 hours ago. We had mad fun and I can’t wait to chill the family again next March. My legs hurt from all the walking around the city, so I’ll blog about our whole trip after I upload my photos and get my Z’s.
